The little red bag

In Chinese culture, red is a symbol of luck and prosperity.

For years, I used to wear red nail polish on my toenails in summer. Not for luck as much as to look a bit more done. It was my summer makeup. I think a red lip or red nails look so beautiful against bare tanned skin.

It’s been a while since I’ve worn any nail polish but I do like having a hint of red in my wardrobe. It energizes the entire look. At home, a little pop of red can energize the entire room.

I think red makes the loveliest combination with white or cream – or outdoors, with sand and the sea.
